Tell me a bit about yourself….

I am a certified radiology and ct scan technologist with a strong interest in management and leadership. I recently obtained my MBA in Healthcare Administration and look forward to utilizing this degree in the near future.

What genre/s do you write in?

Business and leadership.

How long have you been writing?

One year ago I started my blog: and started on my book in the middle of 2019. So pretty much a rookie at all this but learning each day.

Do you have any published books or articles?

Yes, besides my blog I have one book out, so far, “Management: from the outside looking in”

Tell me a bit about these and what publishing route you took.

My blog and book are about management and leadership with an approach that is employee-focused and backed by research of proven methodologies. I went the self-publishing route.

Did you use an editor? If so, who?

I did everything from publishing, editing, and even created my cover.

Did you use a book formatter and cover designer?

Same as above

Did you self-publish or get traditionally published? How did this go for you?

I self-published and I believe my book is well written and has a catchy cover, however, marketing is my biggest struggle.

How do you market your work and promote your brand?(Include links)

I try to help others on Reddit and other platforms in hopes they will click on my bio, which leads to my book. Hasn’t worked well yet.

What social media and writing platforms would you recommend?

I do like Reddit because it offers many different topics and users, but feel I am not utilizing it correctly.

What inspires you most to write?

The desire to improve.

What do you do to help with writer's block?

Take a step back and take time off.

How do you plan your writing and start?

Take notes whenever they come to me on my phone.

Is writing your full-time job? If not, what else do you do?

No, just a side gig. Radiology technologist

What are you working on at the moment?

The Donts of Management.

What is your target audience?

Businessman, managers, and leaders.

How long does it take you to write a book?

One full year. Not full-time.

When did you first discover you enjoyed writing?

In high school in a creative writing class. Just never utilized until recently.

What is your writing schedule look like?

Days off of work.

What does your family think about your writing?

They don’t know...

What do you do when you are not writing?

Traveling, although covid has taken a toll

On that recently.

Where do you get information and ideas for your writing?

Past education, research, and experiences.

1. Approach book bloggers and ask for reviews, give them a copy of your book

2. Collaborate with other authors in your genre and run a virtual book tour.

3. Run a contest, must like author page, and share, comment with their email to enter.

The prize can be 3 chapters of your book or a PDF, the first ten sales get a signed copy.

4. Post in groups, show your value, don't just drop your link and run.

5. Regularly contact your email list and keep building.

6. Make use of and fill in author pages/profiles on Facebook, Amazon, Goodreads, etc

7. Post live video book readings. Create a Youtube channel and post to this regularly.

8. Participate in chats and forums, respond to all comments and collaborate.

19. Use popular posts, quotes, chapter outlines, and make a slide show presentation or short video.

Post to Facebook, email list (add hyperlinks), and your website.
